<strong>as good as the first</strong>

After Skin of the Deep, wasn’t sure if the sequel would be as good, as sequels often disappoint. I’m glad to have been wrong. It was fun and full of action from start to finish and offers the possibility of a trilogy. Hope so!

It was interesting to learn about all the African gods. Definitely wouldn't have known about them before reading this book.

It was definitely giving “We’re getting the gang back together.” Overall though I did enjoy this book. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first, but I did like the story better. I felt that the first installment was written a little bit better than in this book. I think the evil depicted in this book was more intriguing than the first.

Still can’t get over the fact someone wrote a book about Black mermaids and had so much of African culture intertwined within. I’m a big history nerd and to have the culture written within a fantasy book is *chefs kiss.* I can’t want to see what else Natasha Bowen has in store.
