If you like anything by Becky Chambers, I think you'd like this story too. Cheeky, high stakes "save the universe" adventure among a diverse crew but with snarky cats and Transformers-esque beings. It's the third in a series but I read it having never read the other two and still enjoyed myself immensely. You get to learn some Spanish too, if you don't know it already. 😉
