I fully enjoyed this collection of short stories and found myself wishing that so many more of them were longer so that I could have read even more of those stories. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to read more books by Afghani women.
Graphic: Abandonment, Grief, Blood, Body horror, Child death, Chronic illness, Death, Death of parent, Islamophobia, Medical trauma, Violence, Fire/Fire injury, Murder, War, Gun violence, and Injury/Injury detail

Mix of stories giving a glimpse of different lives and stories by a variety of authors from Afghanistan. The story of how this collection was put together was inspiring. I don't often enjoy short stories, as I want more! But these are talented writers I want to hear more from. Some stories I loved, some were not my style, but I am pleased I got to expand my living experience by hearing of bravery, perseverance, tragedy, hope, poverty, domestic abuse, and day to day living from these authors.
