I did not love the artwork, it was quite abstract for my tastes, but still interesting enough to draw me in. I do feel like a bit backstory would have been good for the story, it was hard to care about the characters and everything seemed a bit confusing, but maybe this will clear up in the following volumes.

I received an ARC in change of an honest review through NetGalley, all the opinions are my own. Thank you to the publisher for the ARC.

The story follows a boy James after a traumatic incident in which all his friends were killed but him. People start gossiping and he ends up being bullied and ostracized. When suddenly Erica Slaughter arrives in town and everyone starts thinking she's the one who has been kidnapping the missing children and killing them in atrocious unthinkable ways.
James decided to join force with Erica and go monster hunting.

This was awesome! I loved the art style and how the drawings were able to expose what the characters were feeling. The plot was interesting and so were the characters. I'll definitely can't wait for the sequel.
