A strong beginning to the series with promising world building and character introductions. I'm starting with a conservative rating for now, but I may revise it after completing the series. Excited to see what comes next!

This was good. Confusing, but good.
I love the art style, almost sketchy with unclean lines. The colours are good, the blood so vibrant and eye catching.
The main character is called Erica Slaughter, such omen nomen!
Loved seeing how every character deals with the situation, the loss, the horror, the fear, the anger, differently. Very believable.
I am looking forward to reading more!
Only problem was: I have read in on my tablet and it kept having dual pages panels and it took me a while to understand I had to skip from one page to the next and back to read it in the right order. It made the experience slightly annoying, so my suggestion is to read a physical copy of it if possible

What a fantastic first volume. Something is Killing the Children is a great comic with amazing art. The story-telling is catchy and serious at the same time. You fall in love with the characters really easily, and their development is fulfilling yet makes you want more. I would definitely recommend this comic to anyone who likes a mysterious lone wolf protagonist and has a thirst for monster hunting.
