The age gap isn’t really my shot of whiskey. Overlooking that, the plot was decent and the action was good.

I’m going to go ahead and say this book is not going to be for everyone. The age gap is significant and the fmc has known the mc since she was seven. There’s no romantic overtones until she says something at sixteen and he shuts that down immediately, but most of the book does take place while the fmc is seventeen.

And the author is not shy about that. They lean into it pretty much the whole book, even giving them a daddy kink just to make it more obvious.

And it’s still a good book. It’s a little heavy handed with the autism representation, but that’s not uncommon.

LouLou is a serious brat and I’m here for it. She acts her age and doesn’t think shit through and pretends to be stronger than she is and just. She’s a badass.

And Zeus tries so hard to be a good guy. He has a moral compass and a code he lives by, and LouLou just shreds it all to hell.

It’s a tense ride through threats and dangers, but it’s fun and steamy asf.  I enjoyed it and intend to eventually read more in the series.

I like taboo but he’s a groomer and a pedophile. Sorry it’s just gross. I love age gap but this dude would get killed in prison for this

I read this for the first time over a year ago but now that I am reading the entire series, I gave it a reread as chronologically they contain important details.

So we start the book out with LouLou being saved during a shooting by Zeus the Fallen MC president. He ends up going to prison for the shooting (LouLou is the mayor's daughter) and throughout his time there he exchanges letters penpal style with LouLou. She refers to him as her guardian monster. She forms a very strong bond with him over the years as she fights cancer, beats it, and then starts to grow up. Her parents are fairly absent and don't pay attention to her.

A decade after the shooting LouLou is 17 and starts to realize that her feelings for Zeus have turned romantic. He shuts her down immediately and tries to cut ties. Lou though finds out she has cancer again and wants to live life up in case she dies. So she starts partying a bunch with her semi-fake boyfriend and also gets a job at a strip club. One night Zeus happens upon the club and catches her and buys the club. They go back and forth and almost ignore each other for a while when Lou takes things into her hands and strips on stage for Zeus. He folds almost instantly and from there on she is his old lady.

Now the age gap in this one felt much ickier than Cress and King. Lou is 17 and Zeus is in his mid 30's, so yes very questionable. I remember the first time I read it that bothered me. We can talk age of consent all day long but if this will make you uncomfortable don't read it. I will say they had undeniable chemistry and she is the only one I could see with Zeus.

“A true fallen angel, too bad for heaven, too good for hell, stuck on earth like a living divinity.”

When Lou was 7 she ran into the arms of a 26 year old Zeus. From across the parking lot she knew that he would be her guardian monster and the only one that would love & protect her all her life.
When Zeus went to prison Lou & Zeus became pen pals and formed a bond that would tie them together forever.

I love daddy Zeus, this man is the best example of how to treat your woman. He would burn the world down for Lou and kill anyone who gets in her way.
Lou is one of the strongest MFCs I have ever read, the strength she shows at such a young age and the conviction she shows in her beliefs and her love for Zeus is unmatched.

Age gap is fine, but this one didn’t sit right with me. She’s 17, and he said he had been waiting for 10 years to have her. Gross, nope. Not for me.
