Any fan of Star Trek would, of course, love this book, but this book would be of interest to anyone who loves the story of someone able to overcome the many challenges life can through at us. Patrick's story is one of love and compassion in the face of challenges. Over his life, the opportunities and chance encounters are what sometimes brings out the most moving experiences, while underscoring that we never really know what to expect. His is the story of human growth over a lifetime of experiences, sharing the wisdom with wit and a light touch of humor.

Really enjoyed this one; I didn't know a lot about Sir Pat's early life and this was a wonderful audiobook since he reads it.

As always, it is difficult for me to rate memoirs. Some parts were very interesting, others not so much. That being said, I would listen to Patrick Stewart reading me the phone book.
