Well, who would have thought that Bellamy and Phoenix would have managed to kick Daman and Warrin off their throne. Sorry boys, I still love you, but... "Bellamy" was my favourite (for now).
I ABSOLUTELY ADORED THIS BOOK.
I'm so damn obsessed with these two, I literally could not get enough of them and their story was incredible: gut-wrenching and bittersweet and emotional, flirty and fun and so damn steamy.
I didn't think I could love them so much, because I had no idea how it would work between them and how (or even if) Phoenix would manage to redeem himself.
I should have trusted Jaclyn Osborn's awesome skills, because oh my god, this book was everything! Enemies to lovers, forbidden relationship, fated (but really reluctant) mates, a truckload of hurt/comfort, hate sex and the usual, impeccable found family I've come to expect from this author.
I adored both of them with my whole heart: Bellamy has never been a favourite of mine (yes, I still loved him, but Alastair is firmly my number one, even now) but I think I underestimated him. He's not as shallow as he appears to be, and his more hurt and insecure side literally broke me. I also was not expecting how much he freely expressed his love for his brothers: they all love each other, no doubt, but Bellamy's just so devoted to them all... They saved him and ugh, seeing them together made me emotional. Very emotional.
Phoenix was a huge surprise too; I wasn't sure I'd be able to love him but I did, so much. He's ruthless and amoral and selfish, but he'd literally set the world on fire for Bellamy and I respect the hell out of him for that. Also, those last chapters? His self-sacrificing streak? GAH, my heart.
And of course, together they were explosive and inevitable and perfect. Their chemistry was truly impeccable and the steam was ON POINT.
I've said it before but I cannot wait to read Alastair's story: we get some very small, but very intriguing, crumbs about his and *insert spoilery name* relationship and I'M ALREADY OBSESSED. Praise kink? Yes, please and thank you. I'm beyond curious to read Raiden's story now! I love that gentle giant to bits and I can't wait to be in his head.

the whole mates & soulmate thread has gripped me from the moment i started this series, i never doubted it for a second….but bellamy & phoenix’s story completely changed the game.
enemies to lovers has always been a favorite trope of mine but seeing it with them was something else, and this is one of my most favorite reads of 2022 because of that.
