Listened via audiobook. This is a book everyone needs to read. It is important to hear a perspective outside your own. This book just happens to be comprehensive on a large factors that feminism is ignoring. She makes an obvious point. I will admit, I myself have made comments about poverty being an issue that can wait, but that’s the thing it shouldn’t have to. We can’t afford to let it. I’m glad I took the time to listen.

Even for someone who lives outside the US in a very homogeneous country, with many of the specific social issues used as examples in the book not directly reflecting my own country's governmental policies or lived experience, it was eye opening to learn from a different point of view what feminism should be focusing on as well. Very insightful and while I was happy to see there was source list at the end, I feel like the arguments would've been stronger if it was incorporated into the essays a bit more.

So many great topics and points brought up in this book. I ended up listening to the audiobook and hope to physically read it in the future so I can annotate my book because lots of good things to highlight especially in the beginning. I did feel like some things dragged on a little bit, but I also was longing for a fiction book at that point so I don't know how much of it was the actual book. I still ended up really liking the book and would recommend it in general.
