LOOK UP THE TRIGGERS!!!! I gave this 4.5 stars because ultimately it was a really good book, but I was not prepared. 

I thought this would be a good thriller to break up my romance. A story about two sisters trying to uncover what happened to their sister. And boooooy oh boy did this send me running back to romance. 

This book deals heavily in stalking, kidnapping, GRAPHIC torture, and GRAPHIC rape. I’d say that the main theme is

Snuff porn

which I was not prepared for. 

Overall, yes it was a good story. It did keep me on the edge of my seat. But things just keep getting more and more grotesque. I felt equally as traumatized as the main character. If you know what you’re getting into, I’d imagine it would be more palatable. Just a heads up!

The first 50% really gripped me. Once a certain thing is revealed, I went "that's it?". If you are not into violence or sensitive to it, not a book for you. I found it violent but not overly graphic (just outlines what's happening).
