3.5
This one has so much acerbic wit, cleverness, and memorable characters that it really does need to be read all at once. The character descriptions are sublime, and the humor is impeccable.
This is an enjoyable, quick read that is fast-paced and continually unexpected as the plot unfolds. Actually, the plot and how it all ties up is sort of insane (in a good way, but definitely rides a thin line between flat out weird and fun). Highly recommend for lovers of detective nobels and horror—especially when they are put together.
