Hot AF

I loved Ashton Scott when it was in my email weekly. But rereading it again completed and at once I love it even more. Lorelei is strong and independent with her own insecurities, so it would make sense that she would need a bossy alpha to challenge her and help her grow. Ashton is all hard edges and Lorelei slowly softens his edges. An amazing story of personal growth and how hard real relationships are.

I love a good alpha male character, and Ashton Scott was one of the best alpha assholes. He gave full I-would-die-for-you vibes towards Lorelei. I could definitely relate to Lorelei when is comes to being controlled, and having decisions taken out of your hands by someone else. I love how she handled Ashton with her boss-lady vibes, refusing to let him control her decisions. I didn't like that they were both jealous of each other's exes but it was great to see how they handled their own and each other's jealousy. And their chemistry?!?! Wow! Off the charts! Plus, their banter was to die for! Can't wait to read Jack and Jessica's book next! 4☆

Ashton is an asshole & Lorelei started out as a strong independent woman until he gave her an orgasm and it went downhill from there. She's a business owner navigating unfamiliar territory and he's a rich CEO that wants her property. The book had too many side stories happening: the daddy issues with a domineering father, the best friend that's suffering from bi polar issues, the sister who's marriage is falling apart, the ex's refusal to accept the new relationship. Way too wordy and the same use of the same phrases. Also there is a difference between getting what you want and submitting and another saying no and it happening anyway. Too many sex scenes and not enough plot with the two of them and the book could've been about 200 pages shorter.

DNF, too angsty and boring to be enjoyable
