A cute and simple little edition to The Curse of The Cyren Queen series. Definitely revealed some good to know information about the main series. I would recommend reading this after reading A Lair of Bones.

A beautiful yet heartbreaking novella which introduces the world of cyrens in Helen Scheuerer's upcoming book series. This novella focuses on Deelie's childhood & backstory. Through her lens, we get a taster of the magical creatures who will feature in the deep in the ocean world as well as the emotions Deelie experienced in her formative years. While there's not a lot of details provided about the worldbuilding, I found the cyren concept really interesting and hopefully more about the fictional world would be properly introduced in the upcoming novellas & the series.

A nice little intro into Scheuerer's world of cyrens, and a taster of what's to come in her upcoming new series. I was definitely intrigued by the glimpse of cyren lore we got here, very endeared to Deelie, and eager to know more.
