I enjoyed this book, I just really wanted her to end up with the other guy lol. Not that I didn’t like the one she ended up with, he’s just not who I was shipping lol

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

A curvy girl torn between two hot football players, while breakdown barriers as a professional cheerleader? Sign me up!

I will say that I loved the idea of a full-figured professional cheerleader. I also liked how much the main character held her head high in the face of any critics or negative reactions she received about her body. However, I do wish the book had focused a bit more on her career and struggles in that department.

The romances bounced between playful and heart twisting, but everything seemed to move too conveniently for me. Any hardships any of the characters faced were easily resolved with a nice little bow. Also, there really was no tug and pull for a book about a love triangle. Everyone stayed nicely in their corners with no mistakes made or lines crossed.

At the time of this review you can read & listen via KU. The book is $4.99 & you can add the audio for $1.99 ~ so still less than a credit. I originally listened via KU, but enjoyed it so much I opted to buy it and it's a book I've listened to several times. The narration is superb.

RVD does what she does best and gives us a story where we laugh, cry, love the MC's, get frustrated with the MC's, and then when it's all done ~ we want more!

Possibly spoiler but I almost didn't listen to this because I thought it was a love-triangle. But it's really not. Emerson has a past with Miller that she needs to come to terms with before she can fully be with Grant. And watching it all unfold is a thing of beauty. Anyone can see that Miller gets his own book next, so it's not that big a spoiler.

Great fun sports romance

I loved this book. RVD gives us the usurped fun and quirky real life humor as well as a great love story. Best friends who stopped talking due to circumstances beyond their control as teens, reconnect worth a rocky start. Another guy who starts wanting one thing and realizes he wants more. Loved the growth of Emerson and Miller and loved Sanchez and his pure honesty. Grab this book!

I should know by now to not start any Rachel Van Dyken book at 12:02 AM. I should after having binge read many of her books. I have even suffered reread hangovers. I SHOULD KNOW BETTER! I did it anyway.

So here I am bleary eyed with a raging headache and a ridiculous smile on my face. Fraternize is the feel good sports romance it seems like with a sassy cheerleader with huge lady balls and an unrepentant playboy player. (I know it's sounds redundant but it isn't, not really.)

Think attitudes, cocky smirks, and the sweetest things imaginable and you are part way there lol. I said he is a cocky unrepentant playboy not a saint. With a smirk like that, he would never make sainthood. Although...nope- can't say it.
(Sanchez may have whispered "I get confused with deities all the time.") Let's not forget the one who got away...

So it's a face off right...no contest, right? Wrong. You will learn that feelings aren't a choice. Even if two of the hottest guys on the planet are duking it out...only one will win. Sigh, I may have wished for a menage so hard but with these three it will only be in my dreams. (Yours too.)

Sexy, sweet, and my new best friends forever Sanchez and Miller would make me happy for the rest of MY life. Too bad I'm not the girl they are interested in...sigh!

So may the best man win Player of the Year or something even better!

So usually with love triangles, I associate angst and emotional turmoil but this was something totally different. It still had the anxiousness that filled you at trying to guess who the heroine would choose but it also had a light airiness to it. I honestly had no idea a love triangle like this existed. But, let me tell you I was HERE for it! I seriously loved Fraternize. The bromance that formed between Sanchez and Miller was everything. Emerson though? How I loved me some Emerson. Firstly, I loved that we had a woman in sports. I just don’t find enough of them or maybe I just don’t search hard enough. Either way, I was cheering with excitement for it.
Secondly, I loved how we had a heroine who was curvy and thick. I loved how she owned her body but still struggled with insecurities. As a thick girl myself I loved reading about someone who looked like me and went through similar things I did. It made her so real and relatable to me.
When I first started this book I was totally team Miller but then Sanchez worked his way into my heart when he showed that under all that playboy bravado is a man with a beautiful heart and well let’s just say after seeing that I was a goner for him. This is my first book by Rachel Van Dyken but I already have the second book in que ready to go!

I liked this story. It didn’t go the way I initially thought it would. I was surprised, a little disappointed at first but eventually I got on board with where the story was headed.

Because there was so much focus on 2 characters, I thought it would end up being them together. However, I’m happy with who ended up with who. I do believe that the story wasn’t a typical story, but shows that just because you have a history with a person doesn’t mean that’s always going to be the person you end up with- which is what I liked. There’s always stories about high school loves ending up finding one another and staying together, but sometimes it’s nice to have a story where they work out their issues and end up with other people. I liked where this story is going and have already grown attached to the characters.

Wasted potential

This book had so much potential, and it was just wasted because the writing was not good. It was incredibly choppy, convoluted, and confusing at times.
