This volume collects a few stories which are fairly enjoyable as far as sword and sorcery goes. The plots are simple and characterization is straightforward, but it's decent fare for the genre.

That said, around a third of the volume is composed of a multi-part series (the Ring of Ikribu etc.) which features a terribly boring and implausible romance (the man Sonja apparently falls far is bland even among the volume's lackluster personalities) and features some pretty shoddy art full of improbable poses (not just for Sonja, mind, but for all the fighters involved).
