A very sweet book about the history of underpants and their significance for the history of the world. i simply loved the depiction of the sabertooth tiger
The older kids loved it! I will try it out on the younger kids next....
Horribly inaccurate (not an issue for kids but I HATE that) and forced rhymes.
I bought this picture book a few years ago for my littlest brother���s 7th birthday. He found underpants infinitely hilarious at the time and it was right at his reading level. The rhyming could have been better and maybe a little cleverer at times but the illustrations and concept, in which dinosaurs become extinct because of their love of underpants, were great.
This is the only Dinosaur book my 4 year old has not liked. I ignored reviews I had read about it being scary, because when I read threw it at the bookstore, I thought it was silly and my four year old would love it. However she really disliked it...

When I rate a contemporary kids book, I am basing it almost entirely on my sons reaction to the book. And boy, does he love this book! Just a silly little rhyming story about how underpants led to the downfall of the dinosaurs. My son LOVES dinosaurs and the idea of them wearing underwear has him giggling every time it's read to him. Actually, he's had it memorized since the third reading. The illustrations are fun and vibrant as well.
