The lack of chapters makes it hard to dip in and out of- leave time to devour it in a weekend!

I'm not sure what I expected with this book, but I'm pretty sure this was not it. A strange book, and one that I found difficult to access at times only to then be blindsided by a line written so beautifully it hooked me right back in. I'm glad I read it, but I'm not sure how much I'll remember it.

dnf @ 25% — tried so hard to like this because i loved “autumn” by ali smith, but this just isn’t for me. the writing kept tiring me, i felt like i had to work to piece any sort of plot/context together, and not in a good way.

Deeply endeared by the notion that life in it's multiplicity is always built on and in conversation with the ripples of history even if we have no way of knowing, or even if we are no longer around to see and hear it. A challenging read in its experimentation even as the sparks it occasionally set off delighted me.
