I enjoyed this and I was happy to learn Zs story. I'm glad he took the time to work on himself before giving himself fully to Bella but I wished he'd communicated to her instead of breaking her heart. I know he wasn't able to but I still wish he had tried. I look forward to continuing this series bit by bit.

!yo puedo arreglarlo! (Maldito Dark Romance, qué daño ha hecho)

I can't stop reading them for the paranormal elements and the vanilla smut is not bad, but Ward has some serious issues with keeping her characters' personalities consistent and the relationships consistent. These romance storylines are all over the place. The twins' relationship is all over the place. Oy.
ALSO: Putting an added "h" in a word does not make it exotic or foreign or mystical looking. Makes it look stupid. The glossary makes me what to slap myself in the head, except I didn't write it. Names like Rhage and Phury are absurd, even when mispelled.
And yet, I keep reading...

*Me savoring this book like Klaus savors his blood.
This is easily my favorite of this series so far. I've heard many good things about Zsadist (it seems like everyone loves him) and was struck by how wonderful I found his character to be. He certainly isn't simple or easy, and I was glad to see that Ward didn't take the easy way a lot of authors take when trying to humanize a character like Z. A lot of times, they just say the character never meant any of their actions, and while this could be partly true for Z, it's a lot more complex--I loved it.
And then there's Bella. She's definitely my favorite of the heroines so far, though she did have her eye-roll moments. And again, I'm quite enjoying the side plots going on in this series. There are so many of them spanning several books now that it makes it feel more like I'm watching a TV show than a movie trilogy, which is what most series usually feel like to me. That being said, I think I need a break from these books. They're a little intense, and I'm in the mood for some lightness (something that certainly does not exist in this world).
Book-crack, I tell you. Book-crack. But the premise was far too ridiculous for even me. I was excited for Zsadist's story, but it ended up being a big pile of nope for me.
