Interesting read, but really not my genre of book and struggled to connect. I found the first section and the last interesting bit it really slowed down in the middle. Interesting perspectives and relationships in the story, with a devastating perspective of the pain of colonisation in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe

This was a classic and heartbreaking book about a family coping with the state of their country under collapsing colonialism. I found all of the characters to be interesting and compelling. I might just continue with the trilogy!
