Excellent ending. I love Lo’s tenacity and the feminism. It was clear without feeling too heavy-handed. This is a solid book that makes me want to read more from Ruth Ware.

This book is poorly written and protagonist is unbearable.  I couldn't stand the protagonist's inner monologue. I'll be honest, after watching The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window on Netflix, the show that parodies the psychological thriller genre, I couldn't get away from seeing those tropes in this book.  Even the title has "the woman" in it.  I only got 50 pages in, but it felt like the author was checking items off a list:
trauma, relationship problems, alcoholic, and lack of sleep.
I wish I had gotten to the main plot because I think I would've at least tolerated it.

It was too slow moving for me, I expected someone to be dead by now or at least a thrill to be introduced? To put it plainly I was bored.
