Okay. The first third to half of the book was standard “mystery”, but the main character was just so whiny 😫 The final third was the best. I did like the ending. So that’s why it’s a 3.5 rather than a 3-

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware started with a bang... After that I just had to find out what Ruth Ware had in store for me. A thriller set aboard a luxury cruise ship. The main character in the story, Lo Blacklock, a travel journalist who is invited to go aboard the Aurora Borealis to do a story on the new ship for her magazine. Lo thinks a week away on a luxury cruise liner sounds like a dream come true. After all, her apartment was just burgled and since she’s been anxious about it, she’s had trouble sleeping ever since.

It's kinda common plot but it was likable and interesting.

I'm gradually adding books I've read in 2021 to give a true reflection of the books I've read since keeping records.  In January 2021, I kick-started my reading journey having put reading on the  back burner whilst bringing up the children only reading when on holiday, having previously being an avid reader. I couldn't get on with the book book, I get it she was tired but reading someone being tired was just exhausting.

I never really read mystery and psychological book this fast. It made ne weary because my imaginative mind rendered the setting up close. The descriptive writings are excellent because I could feel what the main character felt. I will try to read more of Ruth Ware's books.

There is a fairly detailed description of a home invasion. I would say it is more detailed than the descriptions of murder and the trauma that it causes is a central focus of the book.

The subplots and characters got a little convoluted from time to time, however the book was intriguing and the plot twists were surprising.
Overall very enjoyable.
