The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware started with a bang... After that I just had to find out what Ruth Ware had in store for me. A thriller set aboard a luxury cruise ship. The main character in the story, Lo Blacklock, a travel journalist who is invited to go aboard the Aurora Borealis to do a story on the new ship for her magazine. Lo thinks a week away on a luxury cruise liner sounds like a dream come true. After all, her apartment was just burgled and since she’s been anxious about it, she’s had trouble sleeping ever since.

It's kinda common plot but it was likable and interesting.

This book had me going back multiple times to reread clues that might help determine who I think is at fault, and why that person would bother to do such things. Halfway through the book, answers started to come forward and being able to put the pieces together made me feel like a real journalist!

Here we have another woman-protaganist-driven thriller with an unreliable narrator who drinks too much and has some other issues. She finds herself in a bit of a situation on a small luxury cruise that she is covering as a journalist. Everyone else thinks she's crazy...self doubt sets in...reader's doubt sets in... etc. etc.

As others have said, I found the latter portion of this book much more enjoyable than the beginning of it. Lo, the protaganist, isn't very likable and it isn't super clear (to me at least) why she does half of what she does. But, Lo and the book ended up redeeming themselves a bit in the end.

I usually love anything Ruth Ware, but this one bored me! It was also predictable and just went on and on.
