Yalom is a fantastic writer, thinker, and storyteller.
He puts forth his experience counseling people through their death anxiety. One main takeaway from this book, for me, is that, in order to live more authentically and fully, we must confront the fact that life is finite. If we accept that our lives have an end, we can learn to better cherish living in the present moment rather than future anxieties and regrets from the past.

Everyone should read this book, but especially anyone with a tendency towards anxiety or existential dread. There's so much insight and compassion here.
