This novel was fast-paced, and I enjoyed the plot. I especially liked that the story focused on a woman and her sincere desire to keep her children safe. The flow of the story was great, and although the ending didn't cover all of the plot points, I was satisfied with how the author finished the story. To describe what I mean, it's like when the movie's ending was good but not great because too many questions must be asked to satisfy the end entirely.

Meh. It’s started out really good and intense. But ultimately it was repetitive with them running on that island and it’s wild to think 27 people with cars and dogs and drones couldn’t find 4 people on an island where they’d lived there whole lives. And why Heather and the kids only tried to get to the ferry once the entire time is beyond me! Good audiobook tho
