This book wasn't too shabby. It was sweet but not too sweet. It had some angst, some flirt and some fun. The ending was a bit simplistic and too perfectly perfect but sometimes such a story is warranted or needed if you've recently read something heavy.

You have Patrick - a blind hottie who's a loner and alone; inhibited since he perceives his disability as a hindrance and a burden.

Then there's Jake - an everyman hero; a bit brash and rough around the edges. He's the hardest working character out there - he made me feel lazy for reading this book on my downtime.

These two had great chemistry and connection and for those wanting something overall easy breezy, then this is a good bet. Heart, heat and humor - perhaps I'll coin that as a 3H rating :)

Oh, this book was a JOY. The snarky notes left back and forth before the main characters even meet each other made me giggle, and the way Jake took no crap from his employer, reminding him to use his manners, was GREAT. I kept waiting for The Big Misunderstanding or something to derail my enjoyment, but most conflicts came from outside of the relationship, and they were solid. I am definitely going to jump right into the next book in this series!

A 3 star read that turned out to be 4 by the end. Nice layering with Jake’s boss and sisters. The resolution I could see coming, but then again so could some of the characters, which worked. I thought the early plot line about “meanest boss ever” seemed a little over the top after we get to know the character more.

I loved this book. I enjoyed both MC's, I loved Jake and was so glad he met Patrick. They were so perfect for each other and were each other's other half. I didn't think Patrick was bad at all, I was expecting someone hateful and rude and he actually wasn't, plus it wouldn't have mattered anyways Jake could handle him, hehe He worked hard for his family but it was out of love and they loved him. Not going to tell you more, you have to read it, but I really did enjoy it. I really love Renae Kaye's writing so anything else she comes out with I will get it. Can you say auto buy :-) I would have loved for the book to be longer though :-)

4.5 Stars - This was a really sweet romance. I loved Jake! His sisters needed to be more appreciative and don't get me started on his mom! But I was glad for Patrick, who needed Jake. Overall, low angst and lovely

Loved this book... I liked that the author didn't linger or oversell the blind MC. This was such an easy book to fall in love with... It was funny, witty and everything was paced perfectly. Great job!!!!

Re read this book. I love the story of Jake and Patrick, the end gets a little more unrealistic, but very cute. I am happy to see that there is a second book in the series. I hope Jake and Patrick are in it, I would love to catch up with them.

The book had its stumbles (fat-shaming, a deplorable "joke" about AIDS and rabies, and Jake's wackadoo mother all come to mind), but I enjoyed it regardless. Jake's irreverent narration had me smiling and laughing the whole way through and I thought he and Patrick made the sweetest, sexiest couple I've read about in a long while.
