This is one of those stories that I thought I had written a review for, and recently discovered I was mistaken. The only reason I can give is that I was in such a hurry to get to the next book I forgot. I love this series, I love everything I've read by Jennifer Bene, and the story of Maddie and Thomas was another winner. Maddie is a character who caught my interest from the very beginning, and the idea of going into a BDSM Club under false pretenses was almost humorous in a way. The humor died quickly after she meets Thomas and their instant connection set my blood on fire. This is a story that is full of sexy scenes and enough of an emotional roller coaster to keep you on your toes. It's not a very long read, but it isn't rushed or lacking in anyway. The story will grab your attention and keep you glued to your kindle from beginning to end.

This is a much 'lighter' read than Ms Bene is often known for, but it is still one read hot, well written and captivating story. Maddie knows there is a big story to be found at Runway, the new, hot nightclub. If she can get the story she can get her dream job. However what Maddie discovers is way beyond her wildest imaginings. Thomas doesn't realise Maddie is a total newbie to the world of BDSM, and she can't tell him without also having to reveal her other lies. And we all know that when there are lies there's bound to be heartbreak.

The story is really well written - I loved how even the fact that she'd gotten into the secret club led to the security measures being reviewed. It's one very steamy story, although only for those who enjoy BDSM reads and the various 'pleasures' a sub can expect when playing at a club with an experienced Dom. The author does a fantastic job of ensuring that the whole book is safe, sane and consensual, even when Maddie doesn't know what she is letting herself in for.

I was totally caught up both by the plot and the characters. Maddie and Thomas are so 'real' they seem to step right off the page. Their heat and chemistry almost melted my kindle, and makes this a NSFW read! I felt their emotion, and when their was the inevitable fall out from Maddie's lies/secrets my heart broke along with theirs. What really makes this book stand out is the story OUTSIDE of their relationship. We really get to know the characters as people, to see their lives, including where they work, and to meet their friends. This is so much more than just a 'dirty' read.

This was a one-sit reading - even if that meant I didn't finish it until the early hours of the morning when I really should have been asleep in bed. This is one of the best BDSM romances I have read, with the perfect blend of good characters, believable kink, excellent writing and good story line.

all in with Club Black Light!

Great book. My first Jennifer Bene read. Once I catch up with Black Light, I'll definitely read more of her work. Her style seems to work well with Livia Grant and I'm a big Livia fan! So far I am all in with Club Black Light, the ex-models/owners, rock stars, & congressmen! Bring on the rest of DC's sexy, rich, powerful elite!

Exposed by Jennifer Bene was another fantastic Black Light story.
Thomas and Maddie meet by chance and under questionable circumstances. But Maddie realizes she is a submissive and Thomas finds someone who he has been looking for.
As lies usually do, they come to the surface when they are least expected. And Maddie must own up to her mistakes.

A classic reporter after a story tale

You know it’s coming, Maddie will get caught in her web of lies, but you can’t look away. These characters grab you and carry you along with them and it is one emotional erotic ride.

Very good!!

Loved when it was said “All the greatest love stories start off messy. It’s the fact that real love can overcome anything, can carry you through anything, can forgive anything that makes it great.” Thomas had to overcome his fears and anger but Maddie had to truly find forgiveness and herself. When they both find these things they find each other. Good book. I really like this series. I really like the writing style of this author and I am liking the characters of this series. I like the overlap and I am liking that I get to see them through the series. I am looking forward to more.

I've read a few books by this author in the past and have found them to be a bit dark for my taste so I avoided this entry in the Black Light series until now. I loved it! It's got a great plot and the characters are individually interesting but put them together and it's just brilliant. As with all Black Light books this is completely standalone but you will have some of the favourite characters appearing. This book has wonderful writing with characters that you would love to have in your life. So glad I finally read this.

This one was way better than the first two in the series. I wasn't a fan of the plot if you will. It's a little unbelievable how these relationships start. And for her not being submissive or knowing anything about BDSM, it was hard to believe how easily she did it. I felt like her lie just went too far in the book. I liked Thomas though. There was something about him.

Either way, coming from the last two books that I absolutely hated, this was a good book.
