While this book centered on British / English history, I still found it quite informative. As an American, it was easy to understand and draw parallels to our own history and culture.

It might be offputting to someone just starting out on their social justice journey. I myself had to check my privilege when the subject of white feminism came up. But Eddo-Lodge did a fantastic job of providing context for her points as well as working in both big picture data and anecdotes.

it's hard for me to rate this because i had difficulties with the tone and i know that is my fault because she has a right to be angry. so i'm gonna give it five stars because i think more people should hear this
