Sort of a series-plot holder, but still fun fluff.

“Have stakes will travel” is Jane’s motto. She’s been hired by one of Leo’s frenemies to take out some rogue vamps in his territories. She and Leo are still on the outs because of the events of book five (I’m totally #TeamJane on this one.) Beast has gone silent and sulky, which isn’t good as the rogue vamps Jane finds are some sort of new variation that makes them hard to kill. As usual, Faith Hunter’s books shine in the world-building, with lots of details on military specifics, fighting, and supernatural politics.

Her two new boy band members team up with her in this one, and while they’re still growing on me, it’s definitely a different dynamic.
SpoilerI kind of missed Bruiser and Rick and all that sexual tension, although those two guys dug their own holes in the last two books… have to see if they dig themselves out… was glad to see them show up halfway through!
, I did like the addition of a contact of Jane’s from her days in the children’s home. That was interesting. As usual, things get super complicated and political, and Jane can never go anywhere without finding herself in vampire/witch/other trouble. This had a really cool ending!

Jane to the rescue again. She truly is top-notch, kick butt!! Book 6 in the Jane Yellowrock series does not disappoint.

I enjoyed meeting some people from Jane's childhood, it didn't surprise me at all the way they described her from back then. Beast has always been feisty but she is especially feisty and rebellious in BLOOD TRADE. She is extremely determined to get what she wants, when she wants it. I continue to enjoy Eli and Alex. They fit right in with Jane and they make a great team. It was painful to watch Jane and Rick walk around each other. Bruiser is still in the triangle but I'm firmly on team Rick. They both have wronged each other and I think they should call a draw. Molly's husband makes an appearance and I hope that means Molly will be in future books. The characters truly make this series.

Jane continues to grow as a person and skin walker. I love that she has such a great group of friends and partners to help her out, she has come a long way from the lone hunter she was in book 1. Every book in the series has been full of action, mystery and danger. Start at the beginning and catch up, BLACK ARTS will be here next year and I cant wait to get it on my shelf.

These are getting a bit old, but I no longer have the problem of struggling to get into the story. I like Jane and her evolution, but the romantic entanglements are sort of bizarre and difficult to be emotionally involved with.

Another fun read. Jane and her team are not in New Orleans for this adventure, they are staying in a B&B with an eccentric host. More great supernatural elements and the mystery of a childhood friend gone missing. Awesome battles with the regular crew and a surprise and unexpected visitor to help.
Vamp political plots and more character development, I loved it!!!

I'm a little frustrated with this series. I love it and I'm glad for Jane's sake that it sounds like things will work themselves out with Molly. That said, I'd really like to see her make a choice between Ricky, Bruiser and even Leo. This was a really good story and I love all the characters. It really kept my interest all the way through.

The audible version is the best as the narrator does a great job.

In this latest installment of the Jane Yellowrock series, Jane finds herself in Natchez hunting rogue vamps against Leo's wishes. These rogues are tougher to kill, however, and something about the whole situation just doesn't seem right. Add in some witch magic, Rick and his government buddies nosing in and an old school friend of Jane's and suddenly things are getting pretty interesting for Jane.

Another fun, fast romp. Exactly what I want from an urban fantasy: characters I love, lots of action, great writing and a plot that isn't predictable. The ending felt a bit rushed after all the lead up but hopefully that's just because the next book is going to expand the events in this one.

I think I'm just getting tired of some of these romantic side plots and conveniently appearing mystical powers. I've loved the books leading up to this, and didn't dislike this one, but I'm sort of over it now.
