This is my second Hannah Bonam-Young book and omg i love her work sm šŸ˜šŸ«¶ I loveee that thereā€™s no third act breakup and the loving family dynamic between them and their siblings despite their dysfunctional upbringing made my heart burst with joy. The angst and sexual tension prior to them getting together was written so well to the point that I was literally giggling and kicking my feet from the cuteness and excitement of where it could lead. This author has definitely become and auto-read author bc her work is simply amazing that I have no choice but to continue supporting her. 100000% recommend this and the rest of her works !!

<spoilerThis story is fast paced (by the 55% mark they were already together), but I think the author did such good job with the execution that itā€™s barely noticeable and didnā€™t really bother me. It did, however, stress me the hell out because that meant there was still 50% of the book where things could have gone completely wrong (which stressed me out till the very end because everything is calm until like the last chapter before the epilogue).

I really loved both Chloe and Warren, but my actual favorite character was Luke. The kid was amazing.
Anyway, all together they make a very cute family.

One thing I did not like: we have the main character mentioning a Harry Potter movie marathon on page. I know this series has been picked up by a publisher, so I checked in the with author and she said they should be able to change it in the republished version.

Content Warnings: foster care and adoption, addiction (parent), dugs, alcohol, removal from parent due to substance abuse and neglect, death of a parent by overdose, anger management issues, strained parent-child relationships, anxiety and panic attacks, ableism.

Representation: former foster kid female mc who becomes a guardian for her newborn sister, baby sister with fetal alcohol syndrome, former foster kid male mc who is the guardian for his little brother, deaf little brother. The brother and the MCs all communicate with ASL.

Really liked - The story kept me fully engaged from start to end even though the plot was predictable.

A romance with heart and spirit where the sexy times were not overdone like a lot of the romances I have been reading lately. This is the first romance book where I actually saw a real diverse ensemble of characters that had a purpose in the story, rather than being the sidekick fill in characters. I was just as involved with the side characters as I was with Chloe and Warren.

Favourite Quote
"Iā€™m peace to you?ā€ I ask. He nods, pulling his lips into his mouth with a creased brow. ā€œWell, youā€™re my home."

Favourite scene
"I kept every key from my life before. Eight keys to eight different homes." Chloe explaining all her keys and then reduces to having one key for the home she now has with Warren.
