It's 1811 and Sebastian is the prime suspect of a brutal murder. He is on the run for the police and wants to prove he is innocent. But who did it? There are many suspect and it took me a long time to figure out the real killer. This is well written and fast paced. I enjoyed the description of the time period and though there were several interesting characters.

I hope to see less pretty, dead women and bury your gays moments in future books but I did enjoy the mystery and like Sebastian St Cyr as a character, so I will read the next book in the series.

Regency era detective with a hint of Lymond. Lots of setting up of characters - I look forward to the next one

This book was ok. I did like the twist of the murderer though. I thought I knew who it was, but I was very wrong. However, I don’t think I will be continuing this series.
