I save these books for when everything is grim and I desperately need a pick me up, and this one did not steer me wrong. I loved the boy's night out arc, and alfredo and chef bear, and that the general conceit of this arc is Supervillian going "you can't just be NICE to people, things are more COMPLICATED, you have to use your POWER to decide who lives and who dies", and the heroes going "ehhhhh, no, not that complicated, still gonna be nice".

It's been a while since I read any Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, and it just never fails to put a smile on my face. This run is one of my favourite comics of all time. It's just so fun! If you have kids, or ever were one yourself, you'll love it too.

Enter Squirrel Girl: continuing to eat nuts & kick butts. And yet, is also open to solving problems through dialogue. Perhaps more heroes should try this...it might end up in less collateral damage. Fun writing, excellent illustrations. If you don't like these, I'm not sure if you have a soul.

Not only can Squirrel Girl solve problems of the heart, she can do so while falling upside down from the top of a skyscraper!

Might be my favorite volume of the series thus far.

Great things about this:
NANCY’S CAT THOR. I need an entire volume.

Nancy being a badass.

Animals loose in NY page with puns of musicals.

Tony defending Icarus on Twitter.

References one of my favorite videos of a cat knocking over a baby.

I liked the main story, and the issue with Koi Boi, Chipmunk Hunk, and Brain Drain was fine enough (Brain Drain was the real star of that one though, lbr).

This was my favorite arc yet. Seeing Doreen face off against villains she can't beat so quickly is always rewarding. (Even though I was pretty pleased to see Rhino show up!) Also, a comic with Chipmunk Hunk, Koi Boi, and Brain Drain all teaming up was great fun.

Definitely not my favorite Squirrel Girl storyline. I hope I'm not getting over her, but this one just seemed a little lackluster? Shout out to Alfredo and Brain Drain, though.

(read as single issues)

I'll agree with other reviews that this Melissa Morbeck plotline wasn't my FAVE Squirrel Girl arc, but still, very sweet and hilarious and very worth my while.

Reading Squirrel Girl over the course of various lunch breaks was a fantastic idea for mood boosting the second half of the day. I surprisingly loved the final issue centering on the boys while Doreen and Nancy go on vacation, it might be my favorite issue in this volume.
