This is a fast-paced, well-written story. Most of the story revolves around Grayson and Reagan and the fact that they're mates. Reagan doesn't know anything about werewolves or destined mates, etc, but seems to take it all in stride. The way the wolves find their mate was different from anything I've read, which was a pleasant change. The rogues and what's going on with them was an interesting addition and I would've liked to have known a bit more about that part of it. IMO, a bit more detail would've easily bumped this one into the five-star category. I wouldn't really call it erotica, but there were some steamy scenes. Overall, the story did hold my interest and I will check out other books in this series.

Grayson’s an a*shole. And did the author remove the widow part at the end? Not that I wanted to read that, but I read some of the reviews that mentioned that part and it was not in the version I read. That would have really ticked me off, so at least I didn’t have to read that. What about Grayson not ever wanting/desiring anyone else?

Ugh...

I could tell 5% into the book that I was going to hate it. I was constantly rolling my eyes. I mean honestly! I can’t with this book.

A lot of shorter novels like this do not have a developed storyline and are just not well done. This book manages to include a great plot for the romance between the characters and the larger series ark.

Good premise but needs some work. Story has some timeline inaccuracies which made reading annoying and were like spikes in my brain. Characters also need some work, but for the main part they were good. Dialogue was probably the worst point. Found myself screaming internally due to the sudden changes in direction.

So why am I reviewing something that sounds like I didn’t like it? Well the simple fact is that this story series has some potential with a little effort. I also want to be supportive of Aussie m/m shifter writers.. I would love to read more oz shifter stories.

This was a super quick read. A bit cute. I can't say I was super invested, and if this hadn't ben for a prompt I may not have finished it. Not a terrible way to spend my time, but could have used a little more substance. Oddly enough, the only time I felt anything was during the brief (very brief) angsty mid-ending.

But messy at times but a decent introduction to this shifter series

There was a fair bit of dramady just for the sake of causing conflict which came out of the blue and didn't really work as tension points but, apart from that, this was a solid introduction to a new shifter series.

A bit underwhelming

2.5 stars. I didn't really care for this, but I feel compelled to go read the next book in the series.
