Another excellent addition to Alana's story! We got to see some growth which was awesome and she finally became a knight !! I deffs thought the reveal of her being a girl was going to be addressed more. I liked how it came to be but then it was kinda forgotten due to OTHER things!

This book continues Alanna's adventures. Loved it as well. Shes still struggling with being a knight, but is doing her best to persevere through it all. i love the characters especially George and Jon.

Middle-grade fantasy, fast read with attaching characters, does its job!

Honnestly, this series just continues to impress me through this reread. There are so many things that are, almost in a way, more powerful now that I am a grown woman myself. Watching Alanna grow, feels like a reflection back on my own growth. Especially in this book as it tackles more of her decisions with femininity, and how she handles the challenges. And ultimately how she views femininity for herself.

I really loved this series as a kid, and I'm so happy that I love it so much now.

My rating for this stands the same as the first. I'm glad to re-read this series and rediscover what started my love for strong female leads in the first place. Some might think that the writing is too fast paced, but I believe it fits with the story and how much time has to pass on the journey to nighthood. Alanna continues to grow, and its nice to see her start to embrace her womanhood and even start to consider where love fits into her life, whether it be for friends or a lover.
