Why I added this book to my TBR pile: I had this on my reading list for a long time, but I never got around to the book.
Will I read more of the series? Probably NotMaybe Highly Likely This book had some good elements, but they failed to gel. I had to listen at 1.4x speed. It was too long and the dialogue was too formal. I am going to put future installments at the far back of my list, but eventually I may change my mind and read more of Ms. Winslow. After all, this was the author's first adult book, so her writing probably improves.
The narrator was Marilla Wex. Wex's reading of the dialogue was miserable. See above note to see why Wex's lackluster performance may not be her fault entirely.
