This has to be one of my fave wonderland versions ever. Shadow aka Cheshire cat, was a fantastic character. the premise was amazing too. all scifi, and insanely odd in a very wonderland kind of way. It's a rereader for sure!

I wasn’t sure what exactly I was walking into with this book. However, I absolutely LOVED this Wonderland retelling! It was thrilling and very adult. The world building was a bit confusing at first but as you read you find out so much more about the world and how Alice finds her way into Wonderland.
This book makes me want to stay in wonderland with a handsome grinning cat!

interesting take on Alice in wonderland- 3.5⭐️
The world building for wonderland was exceptionally well done, with just enough chaos to make it horrifying. I loved the dark play on the beloved characters, like the mad hatter and the Cheshire Cat. However, I felt like I didn’t know Alice or Shadow as well as I needed to to invest in their love story beyond trauma bonding. Shadow was an archetype more than anything and the only clear read I got on Alice was that she was generally careful.

Listened to the audio book. The narrator was excellent! The story was amazing, so unique and different and well done. I recommend it!
