Not as good as the first one - unevenly paced but still a decent story by the end. I probably won't read the third one.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, and was happy to find out this was even better than the first. The first was a solidly entertaining and I loved the world, but this definitely built upon that foundation and gave me so much more to enjoy. I loved the further developments involving the Faithers, who have now established an organization called The Brotherhood of Man. This group is lightly touched on in the first novel, and plays a much bigger (and antagonistic) part in this sequel. It's interesting to see some parallels Wasserman was obviously trying to draw between the oppressed mechs and a society that is unsure of how to accept them, and the way societies in our own history have overpowered minorities. This is definitely more than a simple "girl becomes a robot" story, and I've so far been very happy with the mature ideas and how it's been handling them.

Very much looking forward to the conclusion of this trilogy, it's just too bad I'll have to wait close to a year to find out what happens to Lia. Things ended on a very strained note!

Great story about what it means to be a person.

All of my thoughts from the first book in the series apply to this one as well. Can't wait to read the final installment of the trilogy!

The Second book of the Cold Awakening trilogy. This was a great second book. Lia and Riley grow closer, while Jude is Jude and hurts someone deeply. That hurt turns into a betrayal that will change Lia's life forever.

It was pretty good =) Not as good as the first, but very interesting. And far from Cliche, too. Reading, I honesly had no idea what was going to happen. Very nice.

really interesting concept grows a little less interesting in this second book. i get kind of tired of people being really mean to each other in books, so i was skipping ahead in this one to see people get what they had coming to them. and did they? maybe not so much...

i read this entire book in one night! shouldn have vecause it was morning by the time i was done but still! i luved this book. i hope Robin Wasserman writes another book.

I'm still not quite sure what to think about this series. The entire premise disturbs me but I can't stop reading because I want to know what the resolution will be. I enjoyed Crashed more than Skinned. I thought it was better written and more captivating.

I enjoyed this book. It sure was angsty and Lia sure can whine a lot. But it didnt bore me to tears. Love story with Riley was quite enjyable. Auden is still annoying to me though. I hate when the heroines try to save all the people. But i guess it comes with the author trying to appeal every kind of reader. Honestly i felt a bit sad for Jude in this book. It was a bit sad and i would have preffered Jude, Riley and Lia fighting at the same team. I can understand Jude feeling superior but isnt he driven to the edge by the people. I can get his thoughts easily and i dont think he should be portrayed as a villain in here.
