I've reviewed these separately but I thought I'd review the current published works of ASOIAF as a set.

These are among the best books that I have ever read and I am eagerly awaiting Winds of Winter.

It's a lot. If you're not prepared for gore, incest, murder, betrayal, and all sorts of other intense things then you may not want to read this series. But it is, by far, one of my favorite series. The plot, the character development, and the world building are all at a completely different level than most other books.

The series is a bit hit and miss. The first two were excellent the third one was a bit of a slog but the fourth one is really quite good. I haven't started the 5th one yet since I didn't actually get the digital version with all 5 just the first four. I plan on reading the 5th soon.
