Always obsessed with a Hades & Persephone retelling and this one has such beautiful art to go along with the story. I thought the pictures were breath-taking and the story was interesting so far.

I was a bit doubtful about Lore Olympus as a retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth - mainly because I have been reading a lot of retellings, but most of those were 'serious'. I was worried about the vibe of this series, as it seemed quite child-like. But it is honestly so much fun (!!) - and definitely not child-like in terms of target audience. The deities are the perfect amount of childish and dramatic, the personalities and drawings fit very well. On to volume 2!

This story is beautiful. The artwork is amazing.
I absolutely love Persephone and Hades, they are so adorable and their interactions so sweet.
I think its amazing how she's portraying the different gods and goddess. She's flipped the script on how some are portrayed, Hera isn't some cruel goddess in this story. It's refreshing and wonderful.

Even though I’m the worst about keeping up with webcomics, and I’m very glad Lore Olympus now exists on paper, I think it might ultimately have been more successful as a webcomic. The pacing and POV jumps feel different in book format. Plus the printing process made some of the art harder to see/interpret than I’m guessing it was online. That said, I enjoyed the art and the unique character concepts, and transforming the Greek pantheon into the plot of a messy royal-family reality show is working well for me.

Well that’s just the cutest thing ever! It did go from light to very very dark in a snap, but it’s generally quite fluffy and cute. It’s also very much a feminist retelling, which I love. Can’t wait to read the next book!

This was a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that is sort of a retelling of hades and persephone from greek mythology. Basically all the gods are within this world.
