i LOVE this series. i’ll admit this book was my least favorite of the four i’ve read, but even so - i loved it. the mystery makes my mind WORK and i feel like enola holmes and i love that soooo much.
while i did miss being inside avery’s mind, i actually really liked reading from jameson and grayson’s perspectives.
speaking of which, guys…
i’ve always been a jameson girlie, since day ONE. but reading from graysons perspective… and seeing how he is with his sisters… it might be enough to turn me. i still love jameson though dw.

SPOILER:
i also have to say this bc i’m so proud-
you know how we were hinted at jameson’s secret throughout the book? well, i (almost) GUESSED IT.

we had “four words, a capital H, the word ‘is,’ and the letters v and e together at the end of the last word.”

and i GUESSED it was going to be “____ Hawthorne is alive!” i didn’t guess alice bc i forgot about her but still!!!
that’s why i love these books, i get to solve mysteries along w the characters.

so yeah! fun read. took a minute to get into it but i flew through the second half.

I enjoyed Jamison’s part more than Graysons but overall I liked the book a lot and had a lot of fun reading it

I had a fun time reading this instalment of this book series. I felt like I got to know Jameson and Grayson more better and I liked that! Can't wait for the The Grandest Game to come out next!
