This book could've been two separate novellas, and I think I would've enjoyed it more. The problem with this wasn't the plot or the characters. It was the way that the POV would change as soon as things would get interesting.
Every "part" ended on a cliffhanger before switching between the brothers' POV, and that would've been fine if there wasn't so much time between the POV changes. By the time we'd circle back to one or another, I had already forgotten what the cliffhanger was that we were left on. If Jameson and Grayson had had two separate novellas, the stories would've read easier and been more enthralling.
As for the actual plots. I adored Grayson's the most. His sisters are such a fun addition to the series, and I genuinely enjoyed his relationship with Gigi and how protective he is of them even though he tries really hard to be indifferent. He has a lot he needs to process and work through, but this book definitely saw a lot of growth for him. I'm excited to see what's going to happen with this mysterious girl who keeps calling him.
And Jameson. The game was fun to read, but I wasn't as deeply invested in his story as I wanted to be. The main redeeming quality his part had was the crumbs of him and Avery. They're still my babies, and I adore them.
I'm nervously excited for the next book. It seems that the stakes will be a bit higher, and I'm hoping the vibes will be more similar to the rest of the Inheritance Games trilogy; what with Eve out to get her revenge on Avery.
