Really cute story. For middle school age really, a cute scavenger hunt around NY for some kids looking for a lost inheritance. Really fun enjoyable read.

Read this with my 10 year old daughter, we enjoyed the book. Walls Within Walls falls along the lines of 39 clues

This book has a good premise, but is clunky and not terribly well-written. I won't be recommending it to my students.

The author wants to teach kids a great deal about history using a fun adventure story. Unfortunately, the fun adventure story is lost under the weight of facts.

This is the cute little middle grade mystery that Josie has to read for her summer reading report. I challenged her to see who could read it the fastest! Filled with history, mystery, and adventure, I loved this story about 3 kids who find a generation-old treasure hunt in the form of a puzzle hidden in the walls of their New York apartment.

I would give this to mystery fans who are willing to stay with it, and I think it has a lot of potential, but there's an awful lot going on and the mystery takes awhile to get going. It turns out to be pretty interesting, but in some places the clues are poorly explained and hard to follow. There are also too many throw away characters. But mystery fans may be willing to push through.

It was very intriguing. I didn't like the ending, though.

Walls Within Walls is the story of the Smithfork family as they move into a new apartment in Manhattan because there father has created a very successful video game business. It is a very engaging mystery about how the children (CJ, Brid, and Patrick) follow the clues to find Eloise Post's inheritance. I felt that certain parts of the book could have been explained in fewer pages, but overall I think this book is a mystery that could be enjoyed by all ages!

Purchased for my 4th grader (who decided it was too scary because of the mystery), I read it instead. Very interesting and entertaining.

Informative book but a little tedious until they went in cahoots with Eloise. The Julian twist was not my favorite aspect of the book
