I did not like how the author dealt with the situations described when Marley was a "bad" dog, hence the low rating. The author is however a very good writer and made me want to continue even if we didn't have the same opinions, therefore we are not at a 1*.
I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this book. I was hesitant to read it because of all the hype that surrounded the book and movie. Once I finally put that all aside, I really enjoyed it. It was funny and sad at times and many times, even though I'm not a current dog owner, I could relate.
Really enjoyed this book. It was very well written, and you could picture exactly what the dog was doing. Laughed out loud and had tears as well. Would be enjoyed by anyone who has owned a dog!

The end of this book made me cry harder than any other book I've read...I'm definitely a dog-lover, so this book was great. It was funny, heartwarming, & very memorable. I highly recommend it.
This book is at simultaneously hysterically-laugh-out-loud hilarious and heartbreaking and is an excellent, thoroughly enjoyable read
