Uno dei libri più belli della mia infanzia.

I borrowed this book from the library last week with the intention of reading it before I saw the movie. But I was still reading another book and some friends were going to see the movie and I went anyway. I loved the movie, it made me sob unattractively in the theater, which I hate doing, but it was so good.

I started the book a few days later and got through half of it in the first sitting. I couldn't stop reading it. I finished it this afternoon. Again I cried, but again it was worth it. Such a great story and such an incredible writer.

I loved that this book made me laugh and sympathize with both Marley and his owners. I loved that almost everything he did reminded me of the dogs I have, have had and know. I loved that I could relate. I can't count how many times, when Bailey was still young, how many times I would break down crying and wonder what on earth I had done to deserve such a terrible dog. He was SO naughty! It was great to read this book and know that it wasn't just me, many people go through that with their dogs, especially when they are lab mixes.

Loved it and cried the whole time.

How have I not even rated this since I got on goodreads? I used to sit in my bed every night and read this book until I fell asleep. When I finished it, I started again. I must have read it 20 times in my life. I loved it each time. I cried each time. This is a favorite of mine; a perfect combo of laughter and sadness, all with the joy of pets and the realistic inclusion of family problems.
