3.5⭐️ CoHo does is it again with surprising me, I just hate that it was literally on the last few pages! This was a very real, emotional, gut wrenching story of a married couple going through struggles, but I was SO lost as to how it fit into this series (until the last couple of pages). I love how CoHo brings everything full circle and ALWAYS has characters who seem so genuine and real that you can’t not love them!

Not the sort of book I would normally go for. As I went to a spa day with my mum and sister and I had nothing to read, she let me read her book, which was this one.

It's sort of smutty, which I now know is not my thing!

The general vibe is how to recover from a broken relationship and how to make a life with someone else.

The two characters really need to learn to communicate, and not assume the worst all the time. Also, pick up on what is being said about your partner's mental and body health! In a world where everyone is supposed to be virile and fertile, not everyone is, and that can destroy a person.

Some of the things that happened in this story were close to what I have seen others go through, so I did struggle a bit to not to sob. Thank goodness for indoor swimming pools! You can wipe your tears away while everyone things you're just wiping away the sweat!

I'm glad I read this, so I know what I am not interested in.

Here’s the deal. This book is realistic as hell and not everyone reads drama romances or romances in general for the realistic, heavy parts.
And that’s what this book is because oh my gosh did this book got worse before I got better.

I was sobbing, literally sobbing, listening in the car.

And I think the ending is the best ending that could’ve happened for this book and I’m not mad about it.

This book made me think a lot about what marriage is and what it should be. It made me think about the strength of a marriage.

I loved the line when they said that you could have the best singing voice, but one injury and you can never sing again, relating to a marriage that had always been so strong but the inability to have children was the injury that couldn’t be avoided, couldn’t be talked out, because it was so much pain.
But it’s not that you aren’t strong enough in that moment, it’s that it broke you, there’s healing to be done, and it’s about choosing to heal together instead of remaining broken.

Even right now I am tearing up writing this because it was so real and it was so much pain. I felt her pain even if I couldn’t relate and I think it’s because I am in the happiest moment of my relationship so it was just so difficult to listen to them And their relationship falling apart,

I’m so glad I read this book and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I was eager to start this, but also sceptical with others of Colleen Hoovers books after hearing very mixed things, especially having read it ends with us. I felt it started really slowly and dragged for such a short book, especially as it felt like it became a bit repetitive in the beginning. In saying that, some of the topics it touches on were dealt with well. I enjoyed it but wouldn’t say I fell in love with it all.
