If you want a book that focuses almost exclusively on infertility, this one’s for you. I found the main character to be extremely unrelatable and unlikeable, but maybe someone who has gone through her struggles would have a different opinion. I thought the book was pretty cheesy and forced in a lot of ways and had too many eye roll moments. I read this to try and understand the hype behind Colleen Hoover’s surge in popularity recently, but after finishing, I just don’t get it. Maybe I’ll try another.

This book should’ve been called ‘Miscommunication’ instead of ‘All Your Perfects’ because half of the plot was just Quinn avoiding talking to Graham.

So found this book very interesting in the beginning but as I kept reading, it just got so depressing. I understand this deals with the struggles of infertility but I didn’t imagine this book would be this depressing to read.

I did like the ‘Then’ chapters but at times it did get quite irritating and I wished they were two ‘Now’ chapters side to side and then a ‘Then’ chapter afterwards. I think Graham is the first love interest of CoHo that I actually liked. He wasn’t abusive, emotionally unavailable and he honestly loved Quinn so much and I liked his humour.

But then CoHo had to ruin him with the cheating 🙄.

And I found Quinn SO ANNOYING💀please tell me how does this girl manage to avoid someone ON PURPOSE and then have the audacity to complain that they don’t understand her???? Its honestly amazing, I can’t believe I read that. You’ve been married to someone for seven years yet find it this hard to talk to them.

And why did she have to get a hysterectomy? Wasn’t the miscarriage enough? CoHo really had to remove ANY chance of them ever having children like jeez.

But I loved the epilogue, that was a nice finish, and I loved the love letters, like that was a really nice idea. For them to have some love letters locked away in case of a marriage emergency.

I love CoHo, how she immerses her readers into a world that feels familiar and new, her writing style, everything about her books.
This one felt a little “meh” reading through it, maybe because I’m not married and cannot relate the the problems that marriage brings. Maybe the miscommunication trope just pains me too much to enjoy sometimes.
It was a good read and I’m glad I have it to reflect on for if/when I ever get married, but perhaps not a reread

Loved it!! Really good and really moving. It’s inspirational for others that could have been experiencing similar things to what Quinn was experiencing. 🫶🏻

A beautifully written book, with a sad but hopeful ending. The emotions it explores are raw and complex, done beautifully through first-person and written letters. Thankyou to Colleen for tackling such a hard, but real life issues in such a hopeful light, without cheapening or down playing it.
