Hmm. I do love reading Own Voices stories about disability, but I also like reading good stories. I think this author needs some practice writing for children. There were parts that were narratively unclear. I felt there were connections and parallels haphazardly drawn. It's definitely a first book, and it feels a bit like a first draft of first book. I will read what Felder writes in the future, but I don't think I would use this book in a library setting.
