Solid YA fantasy with great cast of characters. It’s a fair comparison to say it’s a bit like a Raven Cycle/Stranger Things crossover. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will follow the author for sure :)

I enjoyed the plot of this story but I didn't connect with the characters as much this time :(

While this is going on my 2020 favorites list/shelf, I found that this one didn't keep my interest as much as the first. This one was good; I would die for Harper Carlisle or Isaac Sullivan, but I just felt Herman didn't explain what was happening well enough. Nonetheless, this duology is still one of my all-time favorites.

I don't know why it took me so long to read this, I was surprised by the plot twist, and it was a stressful read wondering what will and had happened.
Got to say I really wasn't a fan of May, she really bothered me.
