"He would never forget what had happened to him here. But it did not control him any longer."
Not to be me but the thing i love the most about this book is how mental health, trauma and therapy is handled. Yes! Give me people actually talking about their traumas! Give me actual believable responses to traumatic events! Give me flawed people trying to live their lives and learn from their mistakes!
Also... Isaac is my child and i would destroy everything if that meant he would be happy forever.

definitely enjoyed this one more than the first book!
the character development was spot on and i finally felt like i understood the main characters in this one (isaac is still the best). the only issue i faced was sometimes i couldn’t focus on all the long passages and description but the good plot outweighed that problem.

A truly enjoyable and thrilling conclusion to The Devouring Gray. I loved the changes in POV characters (though admittedly in some scenes it was hard to immediately tell whose POV it was and sometimes who was talking). Definitely recommend this one to Stranger Things fans.

Definitely a case of "I wanted to love this but this just isn't anything special."

I did really enjoy the concepts behind the Grey and the Beast and the whole history of how things came to be, but I think I would have preferred a story from the point of view of the actual Founders.

I didn't really hate many things about this, but I also didn't love anything either. Very meh. The "romance" sub plots were completely unnecessary and had they been removed, my enjoyment would have increased by at least 0,5 stars.

In the end, I don't have much to say about this. At least it was a quick read? I appreciate what the author was going for but not the actual execution? I don't know, so we'll leave it at that.
