I love these characters so much and I am really sad that this duology is over! The atmosphere yet again is incredible - a mix of stranger things and the raven boys - and her writing is just as addictive as before!
Violet and Isaac were always my favourites from the first book and I really really hoped that they would end up together and they did ! All of their interactions made my heart so warm + happy - including when Orpheus the cat wouldn’t let go of Isaac and when Isaac was deciding whether to kiss her or not. Shared trauma must be one of my favourite tropes ever because I just adore how perfect they are for each other

Wow. This was not a good time. First, the fact that each child calls their parents by their first name, and sometimes by both their first and last name in their narration, is incredibly fucking annoying. I've no idea why the author made that decision, and I hate everything about it. Second, I hated the romances in this book, and they really contributed to it feeling like a bad wattpad book. I enjoyed the first book, but I honestly can't think of a single reason to recommend this book.
