This starts out so good, and then it's like the author forgot she was writing fantasy and leaves out all of the magical details she had at the beginning of the book and only focuses on the war.

The ugliness of WWI reimagined to a war between gods. Iris and Roman’s story was romantic, heart wrenching, and full of fiery passion. I can’t wait for book 2.
